TANGERANG - Motor vehicle theft in the Tangerang city began to be brave and sadistic. Without mercy, perpetrator shot dead a female doctor who tried to catch the perpetrators who tried to bring her motorcycle.
Doctor named Italia Chandra Kirana Putri (23), was shot dead by a motor vehicle thief at Bugel Indah Estate, Karawaci Sub-district, Tangerang City.
Karawaci Police Chief, Kompol Munir Yaji said the robbery accompanied by violence occurred on Monday (12/6) at around 13:00 pm. When the incident, the victim was at home with her mother.
"At that time, the victim found an unknown man was fiddling with Honda Beat B 3378 CFH which parked in front of her house," said Munir, Monday (12/6).
Seeing an unknown person wanting to steal her bike, Italia shouted, 'thieves!' The victim's screams made two perpetrators panicked and fled. The victim was chasing the perpetrator with a broom.
"The victim could hit one of the perpetrators with a broomstick, then another perpetrator turned around to shoot the victim from close range, the right shot on the victim's chest," he explained.
Was shot, Italia immediately collapsed on the front asphalt of her house on Gunung Raung road, RT 02/10. After the victim lies, two perpetrators who use Honda Beat motorcycle directly escape.
This robbery action recorded on CCTV cameras. The camera belonging to the victim's neighbor recorded a clear shot when victim' shot by preparator.
Munir said the incident was captured by CCTV cameras belonging to a victim neighbor who was right in front of the house.
"The perpetrator who also wore a white T-shirt shot the victim," Munir said.
The victim was shot from close range, about two meters. Allegedly, the perpetrator used a homemade pistol in action.
Yuanita, one of the victim's neighbors and witnesses of incident said, when the incident himself had heard the victim shouting for help. Not long after, there was a shot.
"I was shocked, I did not expect Italia to be the victim of the shooting, the victim had yelled for help and passed the fight with a broomstick," said Yuanita.
Until now, the violent robbery case is still under investigation of Tangerang Metro Police.
