JAKARTA - Founder of National Mandate Party (PAN), Amien Rais assess the image of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) increasingly rotten. This is thesis of the former Chairman of People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) after observing KPK since 2002 was formed.
"I feel from time to time KPK did not become great, but the more rotten," said Amien Rais at the Parliament Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/6).
That is because, the Commission did not dare to settle cases of mega corruption, such as the case of Bank Century and the case of Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI).
Not only that, the Commission is also considered not daring to finish some cases that allegedly dragged Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), such as Reclamation of Jakarta Bay and purchase of and Sumber Waras land.
"Regarding Century Bank, he does not dare, Sumber Waras does not dare, BLBI does not dare, reclamation is not brave," he explained.
Amien reminded, that all parties do not live in falsehood.
"Well I see there is falsehood and rottenness.This is my thesis," he said.
He also admitted not afraid if the alleged involvement in the case of health equipment procurement prosecuted KPK.
"I'm not afraid to be investigated, but I see the KPK happens decay year after year, year by year. Not selective cutting, super discriminative.You want to defend KPK, please.If I am a mind-minded people who defend the truth," he said.
