JAKARTA - The arrest of main auditor of Supreme Audit Board (BPK) by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is considered as evidence of Unqualified Opinion (WTP) traded. KPK itself has ensured that the arrest was related to the audit of a ministry to get the title of WTP.
On this basis, Secretary General of Indonesian Forum for Budget Transparency (Fitra), Yenny Sucipto urged the total reform in internal BPK.
According to her, BPK audit methodology should be changed, the output is not the origin of predicate WTP which actually becomes wetlands of corruption.
"We assess arrest of BPK auditors solve the myth that it is true there is buying and selling of WTP," said Yenny in Jakarta, Saturday (27/5).
She assessed, the arrest of this BPK auditor as a blow to BPK. He hopes that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is pushing for BPK reform after the arrest.
"Next year, six members of BPK will be elected, revising the terms of non-political party members and being selected by KPK and BPK to be a dead price," she said.
Previously, KPK has established four suspects in connection with the alleged case of unpaid bidding of unqualified opinion (WTP) BPK to the Ministry of Village and Development of Disadvantaged Areas (Kemendes PDT) for 2016 fiscal year.
Four suspects are Inspector General of Kemendes PDT and Transmigration Sugito (SUG) and BPK Auditor Ali Sadli (ALS). Other suspects are echelon I BPK, Rochmadi Saptogiri (RS) and Echelon III Official of Kemendes PDT and Transmigration, Jarot Budi Prabowo (JBP).
"We set four suspects," said Deputy Chairman of KPK, Laode Muhammad Syarif at KPK Building, Jakarta, Saturday (27/5).
Four suspects were caught by KPK on Friday, May 26, 2017. SUG and JBP are suspected of giving bribes to ALS and RS.
SUG and JBP are suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph 1 or Article 5 letter b or Article 13 of Law (UU) Number 31 Year 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 Year 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption.
While RS and ALS are suspected to violate Article 12 letter a or b or Article 11 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 Year 2001 concerning Eradication of Corruption.
