JAKARTA - Attacked pirated works is never resolved. Many players of music industry are pessimistic and not a few who folded and switch to other businesses. Music business, nowadays is not too promising.
In the middle of a situation like that, Nagaswara as music label would not give up. Through an album product titled 'T8P P8P' (read: Top Pop), this label has a challenging job.
"We do not want to dissolve in the circumstances, we doing breakthroughs. One of them by launching latest works with the title of 'T8P P8P'," said CEO of Nagaswara, Rahayu Kertawiguna in Jakarta, recently.
Nagaswara breakthrough through this album seems to be out of the ordinary. This Karaoke VCD album sold close to the price of pirated VCD's, which only Rp6.000.
"I have also sent a message to the pirates who used hijack our products. Not to hijack the 'T8P P8P' album. Because it's useless, the price very cheap with good production quality," said Rahayu.
If later this product still be hijacked, Rahayu admitted to not understand how else to produce.
"It's cheap, still plowed. It's outrageous," he said in a furious tone.
T8P P8P album itself the work of eight songwriters and singers where each singer brought a single hits of their pop genre. They are Merpati Band with song 'Terima Kasihku', 2RT with 'Jolaren', Arya Mohen with 'Berharap Itu Kamu', SYD with 'Ini Takkan Terjadi', RPH feat.Bening with 'Penuh Luka', Tika Kristianti with 'Inginku', Rosemora with 'Kita' and Hot Tea with 'Melodi Rindu'.
