JAKARTA - Directorate General of Potential Defense (Pothan) Ministry of Defence (Kemhan) held First Article (FA) product from Defence Technology Industry Development Program (Bangtekindhan).
15 FA products were exhibited is prototype of a selected development product research results into products that are ready to be mass produced by 13 companies of the defense industry in the country.
"The ability of the defense industry need to appreciate, supported and empowered to build strength and military capabilities independently," said Minister of Defence, Ryamizard Ryacudu at the Ministry of Defense's office, Jakarta, Tuesday (13/2).
Furthermore Minister of Defence said, Indonesia is a great nation, for it must have the independence and reduce dependence from abroad. Of course, to realize the independence the key is all parties must work hard, support each other and work together. "We have to start to be independent and not dependent on any party in the fulfillment of security defense tool," added Minister of Defence.
15 FA products held consists of five products of the land forces, six products and four products naval air force, include; FA Swamp Boat of PT. Mega Perkasa Engineering, FA Submarine Unmanned of PT. Robo Marine Indonesia, FA Target Drone from PT. Indo Pacific Communications and Defence, FA Dahanud Mobile Command Post of PT. Main electrical engineering ITB, FA Bateray C-130 aircraft from PT. Garda Persada, FA Battery Tank BMP-3F from PT. Garda Persada, FA WCP / WPU 209 Hawk aircraft from PT. Global Info Technology.
Furthermore, FA Frend or Foe Identification of PT. Len Industries, FA Simulator 57 mm cannons from PT. Main electrical engineering ITB, FA Compute Engine Mortars 81 mm of PT. Kinarya Acitya, FA Simulator Training Implementation Team Shot from PT. Enindo Mitratama, FA Electronic Support Measures (ESM) from PT. Infra RCS Indonesia, FA Dooper Weapons & Ammunition of PT. Pindad, FA Ground to Air Radio from PT. CMI Technologies and FA Underwater Assault Weapons 5.6 mm from PT. Pindad.
The delivery of the 15 FA products symbolically handed over to the Minister of Defence Ryamizard Ryacudu by the Director General of the Defense Ministry of Defence Potential (DG Pothan Kemhan) Sutrimo.
“In coming years, we will be able to make our own fighter jets and submarines,” Ryamizard added.
