JAKARTA - 'Petualangan Sherina' movie is one of the cornerstones of national revival film and is still an inspiration for homeland filmmakers.
And that also for 'Iqro: Petualangan Meraih Bintang' director, Iqbal Alfajri. He not denies his movie also inspired from film while booming at that time.
"I do not deny that. Riri Riza, director of 'Petualangan Sherina' also once we invited for sharing. Much of that film was enriches Iqro movie idea," said Iqbal, who is also founder Salman Film Academy in Jakarta, recently.
Riri, he said, may have wished lined up as the regulatory scenario, but failed because of his tight schedule. Finally, Iqbal himself who developed the idea and engaged in finalizing with Iqro screenplay written, Aisha Amirah Nasution.
Some of the similarities are quite surfaced that the word 'adventure' in the title as well as a background in the Boscha observatory in Lembang, Bandung. The difference, Iqro which lasted 100 minutes instead of the musical and pretty much instill religious values and also science and technology.
Although Iqro not the first film which took place in Bosscha, a movie which aired January 26, 2017 is the first to get permission to use the main Bosscha binoculars. Teams are also allowed to open the roof to get a Bosscha visual taken with drone.
"Taking place in Bosscha also in keeping with theme that we stretcher, Iqro want more to expose astronomy payload to an children audience," said Iqbal, who finished his studies at the Department of Digital Media S2 ITB.
