JAKARTA - This afternoon, rumors about President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will appoint former Minister of Transportation, Ignatius Jonan as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) spread.
Sources at the Presidential Palace, Friday (14/10) calls, agenda inauguration Minister scheduled to be held at 13:30 pm will be inaugurated Ignatius Jonan as the minister and Arcandra Tahar as Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources. Currently, the post of Energy Minister still intertwined with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
"There are two candidates who bagged the President, but the choice fell to Jonan in the meeting last night," said a source in the Presidential Palace.
Besides Jonan, the previous name of Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Soetjipto was included in the stock candidates of minister.
However, based on information sources, Dwi failed to be elected because of a lack of leadership traits.
Earlier, inauguration invitations of Minister and the Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources has been on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at 13:30 pm circulating since 11.00 pm, today.
