JAKARTA - PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. (Telkom) will begin to look sophisticated location-based analysis technology as part of the company's business to double number of IndiHome customers, from 2 to 4 million by 2020.
Location based analysis tools used by Telkom is a military level mapping technology, known as the ArcGIS platform. This technology is able to integrate data from different business systems, high-level analysis, and presents the data ready for the dynamic map display.
These solutions serve the data with accurate and very clear visualization, such as location data and customer demographics, market trends, and the location of devices such as Optical Distribution Points (ODP).
Thus, the decision makers in the company have much clearer information on the distribution of comprehensive customer and their network service coverage.
Information generated from this technology helps companies determine strategic locations to install their ODP, namely in areas that have high concentrations of telecommunications customers.
