RIO DE JANEIRO - Finally, gold medal which awaited hundreds of millions of people of Indonesia at the 2016 Olympic Games successfully embraced by Indonesian mixed doubles pair, Tontowi Ahmad-Liliyana Natsir.
The pair won the gold medal after beating Malaysian mixed doubles, Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying with a score of 21-14, 21-12 at the Riocentro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Wednesday (17/8).
The final victory has also become a historic victory for the people of Indonesia on the anniversary of independence of Indonesia to 71st.

"I just do not believe the champion. We are very grateful to God, thanks to the whole team and the people of Indonesia who have supported," Liliyana said after the game.
"I give the gift of Indonesia's independence day. Also to my wife and children as well," added Tontowi Ahmad.
Both claim have not thought of bonus which has been promised the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) amounting to Rp5 billion.
"I want to enjoy this victory. Returning from here, I want refreshing yet. The pressure is indeed heavy ahead of the Olympic Games," said Liliyana.
