In Madrid, Natasha Get New Talented Director Nomination

MADRID - Indonesia movie Tears of Ghost works by Natasha Dematra (18) picked up two nominations, Newcomer director for Natasha Dematra and Original Screenplay for Damien Dematra at the Madrid International Film Festival. Representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Spain in Madrid, Jonathan Petrarico represent Natasha Dematra in the Speech Night held at Hotel NH Principle de Vergara, Madrid.
Speech Night which took place on July 9 and was attended by filmmakers from around the world. And to note, the film Tears of Ghost himself had played on July 3 and then at Studio 1 with the status of Spanish Premiere.
In the sequence of the film festival tour in Europe, the film Tears Of Ghost won the highest award one Grand Jury Prize winner, Van Gogh Award at the Amsterdam Film Festival last month. Earlier, in April, Natasha was awarded Best New Director at the prestigious American Movie Awards.
Until now, the film Tears of Ghost has won dozens of awards since its launch in June 2015 at the Asia Pacific Film Awards.
"I hope that this nomination could trigger the younger generation and Indonesia's filmmakers continue to make films. I also want to thank the Embassy in Madrid who was present to represent. This presence is part of the cultural diplomacy and shows that the government is present in Indonesia's creative industries," said Natasha in Jakarta, recently.
In 2015 then, Natasha Dematra nominated for Best Actress by the From Seoul To Jakarta movie at the same festival.
Tears of Ghost it self tells the story of a young architect who is working on a college project through a half-finished new house which turned out to save a lot of dark secrets. This film starring Natasha Dematra, Pagitha Ross, Roman Dman, Ageng Kiwi, Abah Ukam, Rona Aronna, Dino R. Payapo.
