JAKARTA - Indonesia once infatuated with music group Duo Kribo who consisting Ahmad Albar and Ucok Harahap in the late 1970s. Now this frizzy (kribo) style seeks shown back through the emergence of a band called The Kribo.
"Starting from frizzy community in Jakarta, we are trying to revive the trend and frizzy style. Then it occurred to establish this band," explained Riyo, lead singer of The Kribo in Jakarta, recently.
Although not grandiose to emulate Duo Kribo in his prime, but The Kribo, further Riyo, has a dream to be able to fill the Indonesian music.
"We start from the theme of the conversation light first. As our debut song 'Gila Facebook'. Lightweight but effective in the community," said Riyo again.
Songs which composed by Kobra Music Multimedia boss, Hizrah Bacan tells the story of Facebook, which has become an active communication tool in all areas of society. Until the political world did not escape to use it.
Although nuanced Malay song, but the band which fronted by Riyo (vocals), Jamal (Bass), Yogi (Rhythm), Wendi (guitar) and Faisal (Drum) will bring that song with a little touch of rock.
