TOULOUSE - Despite taking three points in Euro 2016 opener match versus Czech Republic, Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque was left disappointed by his side's inability to convert their chances.
Gerard Pique arrived onto Andres Iniesta's magnificent cross to head the winner home with just minutes remaining, in a game where La Roja dominated from start to finish.
"We eventually took the lead but we were not successful at the final moment (of attacks), it took us too much time to score," the coach told Telecinco.
"It was hard to score, it took a great cross from Andres (Iniesta) to Pique. We had a few problems with our attack, but in the end we won.
"I do not know if it will be enough, but we'll take the three points. I'm happy for everyone," he added.
While the Czechs failed to threaten for large periods in Toulouse, Spain were occasionally made to work for their clean sheet, with David De Gea remaining sturdy in goal.
"Everything is in order (with De Gea), his collaboration with Iker (Casillas) has been great," Del Bosque ended.
