Arrested, La Nyalla Already Awaited Indonesian Prosecutors

JAKARTA - Graft fugitive, La Nyalla Mattalitti was deported from Singapore on Tuesday (31/5) where he has been on the run from Indonesian prosecutors and repatriated back to Indonesia.
The Singaporean Home Affairs Ministry said in a statement that Chairman of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) "had overstayed his social visit pass and committed an immigration offense in Singapore." He was arrested by Singaporean immigration authorities and was sent back to Indonesia.
"Officials field of immigration at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore has given the Travel Document in Lieu of Passport (SPLP) for one-way to Indonesia. The concerned with the escort of the immigration officer will return to Indonesia today," said Head of Public Relations of Immigration, Heru Santoso through a written statement received
The Indonesian immigration office confirmed the statement adding that La Nyalla was put on board a Garuda Indonesia flight to Jakarta which is scheduled to land at 6.30 p.m. on Tuesday (31/5). The immigration office said that Indonesian prosecutors would be waiting for him at Soekarno Hatta airport.

Finally, East Java High Court entering La Nyalla into the List of People Search (DPO), while the trial continues to roll in Surabaya District Court. The court had won La Nyalla in a pre-trial hearing and revoke the status of suspects. But the High Court to re-assign La Nyalla as a suspect for the same case.
The Directorate General of Immigration has even revoke a passport La Nyalla, so that if he stayed in Singapore more than one month will be considered overstayed. East Java High Court also re embedding status of a suspect against La Nyalla for a money laundering case in the management of grants received by the Chamber of Commerce of East Java.
