JAKARTA - Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini revealed again that she will not forward as a Jakarta governor candidate in local elections which held in February 2017.
In fact, woman who was familiarly called Risma claims to have delivered the refusal directly to the Chairman Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri, as party supporters.
"I'll tell, I'll explain in fact after I won (the election the mayor of Surabaya), I honestly may be asked to madam (Megawati) later. I was directly facing madam at the time, in that time also there Mr. Pramono Agung, Minister of Internal Affairs, continued Mr. Hasto, but they did not hear me. I just talk privately. I relayed yesterday at campaign time I had promised my family to not leave them, I say so," said Risma when met at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday (9/5).
However, Risma reveal not got any response from the former 5th President. Therefore, regarding advanced to the Governor of Jakarta is no longer discussed with Megawati.
"Yesterday, while Mrs Megawati at there (Surabaya), I only show what has been done. Only addressing it, there was no talk at all about the city elections," he said.
However, Risma asserts has established itself not to leave the city of Surabaya, as he promised the citizens of Surabaya when it was elected for the second time elected mayor.
"I also promised to citizens of Surabaya, I may not leave it. I've been commitments that must be fulfilled," she said.
"I dont even think about it, because Surabaya and its population a quarter of Jakarta's total area was half the city. So, I compared the city I was like three mayors. That heavier for me. I'm only mayor of just one," she said.
Furthermore, Risma also revealed that there has been no directive from the party, so that she forward the candidate for Governor of Jakarta stock exchange.
Instead, Risma said that never entered bid is an offer to be a minister and was immediately rejected by her.
"I'm usually like the old days, before the rightly Mr Jokowi campaign trail I was asked a minister later. Then, Mr. Jokowi won I also directly facing the mother, (I say) madam, I do not want to be a minister. I wanted to remain a guardian the city alone," she said.
Risma name was mentioned as a candidate who could compete with the incumbent candidate electability Basuki Tjahaja Purnama. Although, until now there is no party that officially brought Risma, including PDIP.
