DHAKA - Recently, Indonesia had Dede Kosasih which his hands look like tree roots and called 'Manusia Akar' (Root Man). He died few days ago because multiorgan disorders, including kidney, lung, liver and brain.
In Bangladesh, men who have abnormalities such as Human Pappiloma Virus (HVP) like Dede also exist. Abul Bazadar (25) suffered HVP since he was 10 years old. Now he treated in hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Bazadar, this rickshaw driver has been dubbed the 'Tree Man' and doctors from around the world are working on a cure. Dr Samanta Lal Sen, chief coordinator of National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said doctors will decide on his treatment after forming a medical board of experts.
For note, HPV is the name for a group of viruses that affect the skin and moist membranes lining your body. There are more than 100 types of HPV. Around 30 types of HPV infection can affect the genital area. All HPV infections can cause warts.
Infection can cause a rapid growth of cells on the outer layer of the skin. Common warts have a characteristic cauliflower-like surface and are typically slightly raised above the surrounding skin. Flat warts are most commonly found on the arms, face or forehead. Like common warts, flat warts occur most frequently in children and teens.
