MALANG - Arema Cronus goalkeeper, Kurnia Meiga Hermansyah certainly not included in the squad. One of Indonesia's goalkeeper chose to end his contract and opting to Japanese club, Gamba Osaka.
General Manager Arema Cronus, Rudy Widodo justify it. He said he could not do much given the willingness of the departure of the players themselves.
"He (Meiga) had eight seasons with us. Friday night he said goodbye to terminate the contract and management," he admitted after the press conference and the introduction of new players Arema coach, Wednesday (27/1).
Rudy understand the decision of the main goalkeeper. The situation of football Indonesia has not yet conducive. Though new coach Arema, Milomir Sešlija had asked the management to keep Meiga on squad.
"Coach Milo regret the departure of Meiga. Meiga one of the best goalkeepers in Indonesia," he explained.
After the departure of Meiga, Arema party has not yet determined who will replace him. All the decisions handed over to a new coach and goalkeeper coach. However, Arema still have two goalkeepers, Ahmad Kurniawan and I Made Kadek Wardana.
"There are some keeper who is deemed suitable, but we need input from team coach," he explained.
Arema will play a couple of tournaments before the Indonesia Super Competition (ISC) rolling. Trofeo Jakarta, Bali Island Cup, Cup and Governor of East Kalimantan cup.
"So far, only Meiga who said goodbye to leave, the other player does not exist. The contract all players run out this February," he said.
