JAKARTA - Every great people achievement begins with a dream. Dreams can trigger imagination, which is the main foundation of creativity and when properly grown and can lead to the desire to pursue passion and learn the necessary knowledge and abilities.
Every child born is like a blank paper and the surrounding environment then shapes the way they see the world and influence their desires in the future.
"Therefore, Bigo Live wants to be among those who believe in the importance of cultivating dreams and ideals from a young age. That's why Bigo Scholarship was formed to help children from basic education to shaping them into confident, upbeat and persistent personalities in the future," said Kelly Zhang, Country Manager of Bigo Live Indonesia in Jakarta on Sunday (22/10).
Her side, continued Kelly, see education is one of the most important factors in growing dreams that can equip children with the right knowledge, skills and insights.
This common value is the main reason for the collaboration between Bigo Live and Kolong Cikini School (SEKOCI), a community-based organization that supports underprivileged children in the 'Kolong Cikini' area, through various educational and social activities.
"Through this collaboration, Bigo Live supports SEKOCI by delivering donations from some of its generous users of Rp84 million, in addition to other social activities we do with them," Kelly added.
This donation will be used by SEKOCI to run and improve their social activities for 'Kolong Cikini' children.
"We will use it to improve our capabilities and activities for 'Kolong Cikini' children such as providing more educational resources, healthcare and bringing more teachers," said Ajeng Satiti Ayuningtyas, founder of Kolong Cikini School
At the time of the donation, Bigo Live and SEKOCI also performed some other interesting activities with the children of 'Kolong Cikini' such as medical examination and health seminar, story telling, reviewing, providing medicines and entertainment by guest stars.
Not to forget the entertainment show for the children which live near under Cikini bridge through the guest starring Aviwkila, one of the band that was assisted by Bigo Live to realize they dream.
"We were amazed by their looks and talents, and then we decided to help realize their dreams in order to become a famous star," Kelly said.
