JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) plan to move the capital city from Jakarta to other regions from 2018-2019 is not yet considered.

Chairman of People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Zulkifli Hasan agreed if Jokowi administration focus to realize a number of campaign promises have not been realized until now. It was considered more urgent than moving the capital city.

"Jokowi homework so much, now it's 2017 and next alrwady 2018, and 2019 the election," said Zulkifli in Parliament Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (3/7).

According to him, transfer of capital from Jakarta to other areas requires a big budget.

"
Only for subdistrict transfer needs budget, need to build office of sub-district and others, especially capital city, if sometime it maybe," he said.

He suggests Jokowi more focused to realize some campaign promises.

"Infrastructure: Toll in Java has not been completed yet, Sumatera is not yet completed yet, next year's target is completed. The electric power plan, irrigation means, agriculture and others," he said.

In addition, he added, state budget is limited.

"So I think focus first, if there is any aspiration for moving the capital city, it's whenever possible, sometime yes," he said again.

Chairman of National Mandate Party (PAN) is also pessimistic the removal of the capital can be realized in 2018.

"I think it is impossible," said Minister of Forestry in President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) cabinet.

Previously, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Bambang Brodjonegoro revealed, if in 2018-2019 have started the movement of capital city from Jakarta. The review including funding plan will be completed in this year.
