BREBES - Ahead peak flow of homecoming, the density of vehicles seen increased in the Brebes-Batang Functional Toll at Central Java, Thursday (22/6) night. However, increasing density has not yet led to congestion.
SINDOnews monitoring, flow of vehicles shows the density began in the afternoon. Increased density is already visible in Kaligangsa Tollgate. The queue at last payment counter reached about 500 meters even though all the counters had been opened.
The uninterrupted wave of vehicle also occurs after toll gate to Tegal regency area. Two lanes of toll vehicles that are still in form of leopard concrete is crowded by vehicle travelers.
However, until 20:00 pm the increase in vehicle volume was not to cause long congestion. Slowdown of vehicle speed occurs only at some point, especially before the rest area.
In addition to the toll road segment, the homecoming vehicle is also seen crowded a number of emergency and functional rest areas that exist along Brebes to Pemalang segments.
Head of Traffic Unit of Brebes Police, Adjunt Commisioner, Arfan Zulkan Sipayung has not been able to confirm whether this functional toll will be opened 24 hours or not.
"We do open the lid, but the possibility will be opened 24 hours. Tentative," said Arfan, Thursday (22/6).
Arfan previously said the peak flow of homecoming in Pantura line and Brebes-Batang Functional Toll is estimated on Friday (23/6) to Saturday (24/6). For all government employee and students have also been off.
