PYONGYANG - At press conference held this morning in the North Korean capital, 55 year old retired basketball star and friend of Kim Jong-un, Dennis Rodman announced his wedding to Kim Yo Jong, the dictator’s 29 year old sister.

The flamboyant NBA Hall of Famer says he has been having a secret affair for the last two years with Yo Jong, who was recently elected as a member of the powerful Central Committee in North Korea and that he had recently obtained the President’s approval to marry his beloved sister.
“I’m extremely happy to announce that after three unsuccessful weddings, I have finally found the love of my life,” Rodman told to reporters.
“I have found a new family here with Yo and Jong, and I’m finally happy like I have never been before. For me, Yo Jong is like an angel and North Korea is like Heaven! I have finally found what I had been looking for,” he added.

Rodman’s first trip to North Korea took place in February 2013. Since then, he says he’s visited more than 30 times, and he calls Kim a 'friend for life'. The complicity between the two men was clearly palpable, and Rodman even claimed he 'couldn’t have dreamed of a better brother in law'.
Rumors about the wedding of Kim Yo Jong have drawn a lot of attention in the media over the last few days, after the British tabloid The Sun reported that President Kim was auctioning her in a process resembling the TV show The Bachelor.
Although these rumors turned out to be false, they drew a lot of attention on her marital status and may have accelerated the decision to announce the wedding.
According to South Korean newspaper The Chosun Ilbo, Miss Yo-jong takes charge of propaganda, as well as promotions and appointments for Kim Jong-un.
She is also said to have played a part in the friendship between her brother and Dennis Rodman, and today’s announcement clearly seems to confirm this claim.
