JAKARTA - Proud achievement is returned to the nation's children. This time, The Roof, shift photo by Natasha Dematra won best picture at the Los Angeles Cinefest event in Los Angeles, California, US.
The Roof depicts an Indonesian worker who fight to work on the house roof. This photo is a portrait of the social situation the people of Indonesia are still struggling to make a living.
Previously, this photo been exhibited in Natasha solo exhibitions in January at Radio Republik Indonesia Auditorium and won a lot of appreciation from various circles. The Roof is one of the prime Natasha works in the field of photography.
Earlier, Natasha Dematra better known as the world's youngest female director, artist, singer, songwriter, film producer, editor, Ambassador of Women, Human Rights Ambassador, and the Ambassador of the People Creative Council (DKR). Daughter of director Damien Dematra has won more than 100 awards in these fields.
"What makes this a very memorable because it was my first work in the field of photography, and immediately received international awards," said this 17-year-old girl's.
To note, the photographic works of other Natasha among them is The Waves, Dance of the Lights, Get Ready, Three Gondolas, Ray of Lights, Alone, Phone, Tumbling Down. These pictures tells a lot about the beauty of Indonesia and social issues with the diversity of Indonesian society.
