JAKARTA - Presidential Decree (Perpres) and Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) related to the prevention and suppression of violence and oppression or bullying against children published soon.

Cabinet Secretary, Pramono Agung said, the two regulations were issued in order to avoid the future of children from sexual abuse, physical and psychological.

Pramono said the cabinet meeting it was suggested that the term bullying is replaced with abuse or violence. While the Minister of Education and Culture Anis Baswedan revealed that 84 percent of students in Indonesia have experienced violence. Furthermore, he revealed, 75 percent of students admit to violence in schools.

While publishing Perppu, he said, shows that the government is very serious to give sanction to the predators or perpetrators of sexual violence against children.

"That this predator should be given sanctions is one of them castrated with chemical drugs, so then there is a deterrent effect for the predator to not re do things like that, there wary effect," said Puan.
