JAKARTA - Jakarta Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Tito Karnavian opened his arms wide to Muhammad Naim Bahrun to return to Indonesia.
As is known Bahrun Naim referred to as the brain of bombings and terrorist attacks in the area of MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Thursday, January 14, 2016.
"We are open all if Bahrun Naim home, many cases are waiting," said Tito in Jakarta, Monday (18/1).
Former Chief of Detachment 88 Antiterror reasoned Bahrun Naim has an important role and are associated with ISIS. Bahrun Naim is the primary liaison with the ISIS elite terrorist cells in Indonesia.
"The role of Naim Bahrun very important with regard ISIS in Syria. Because he was the main liaison between ISIS with elite groups and cells in Indonesia" said Tito.
Regarding the sound recordings that allegedly is Bahrun Naim sound, Tito calls could not confirm its authenticity. In the recording duration 6 seconds spread among movement activists in Solo, Central Java.
"Not yet, not yet (examined)," said Tito.
Added to Tito, Head of Public Relations Jakarta Police, Sr. Pol M Iqbal said no matter if Naim said it was not involved in the terror attacks in Sarinah, Central Jakarta.
However, should Bahrun it would present himself in public. Do not just through circulars voice in social media.
"I heard the info that Bahrun Naim said he did not get involved. It is legitimate, go ahead. Our advice, please perform diumum and convey. If necessary use a lawyer," Iqbal told reporters at the Jakarta Police on Monday (18/1).
Iqbal stressed that the police will continue to direct the investigation into the terror blast at Sarinah against Bahrun Naim. Therefore, there is some evidence that Naim Bahrun involved in the terror attacks.
"A joint team has found very strong evidence about his involvement. In fact, before December 2015 we've been doing law enforcement efforts in repressive and preventive," he concluded.
